Department Description
The Data Strategy and Operations team at ViiV Healthcare operates with a focus on data quality, data availability, and end-to-end asset onboarding. The overall goal of the department is to enhance current data capabilities and increase business collaboration to quickly deliver data for insights. This internship presents an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in data strategy and operations within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Job Description
As a Data Strategy & Operations Intern at ViiV Healthcare, your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and support initiatives, performing data validation, and maintenance to ensure accuracy and completeness of data. You will play a key role in enhancing data quality and integrity through tasks such as data cleansing, normalization, and supporting the implementation of data migration plans. Additionally, you will work closely with Data Analysts to create impactful visualizations utilizing SQL queries and other data manipulation tools, that effectively communicate insights to stakeholders, contributing to the overall success of the team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Business Analytics, or related disciplines.
- Familiarity with SQL and data visualization tools (Power BI).
- Understanding of data operations, databases, and data management concepts.
- Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the 12 week internship (May/June - August 2026).
- Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of data operations, databases, and data management concepts.
- Familiarity with SQL and data visualization tools - Power BI
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must successfully pass a drug screen and background check prior to assignment target start date.

- While GSK embraces a flexible work environment, we do require certain positions to be onsite. Candidates who are hired for an on-site role or hybrid role, and reside outside of 50-miles from their assigned work location, are eligible for relocation stipend.
