About The Team
Noah Medical is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sr. Financial Analyst – Cost Accounting to join our Finance team. The successful candidate should be a self-starter, creative problem solver and a resourceful learner. This role requires excellent communication skills, advanced analytical skills for data gathering and interpretation, and proficiency in reporting tools and ERP systems. As a pivotal member of our organization, you will be responsible for analyzing manufacturing costs, ensuring accurate inventory and cost accounting and providing valuable insights to optimize operational efficiency and profitability.
A Day In The Life Of Our Sr. Financial Analyst- Cost Accounting
- The main focus will be supporting manufacturing operations through thorough cost analysis and effective cost accounting practices.
- Partner strategically with the Manufacturing Operations team on continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs over time and ensure efficient and accurate inventory management.
- Conduct detailed analysis of manufacturing costs, including direct materials, labor, and overhead, to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Implement a robust monthly reporting system for senior leadership, delivering comprehensive global cost and inventory analysis insights to drive informed decision-making and strategic planning initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to craft an exhaustive supply plan that aligns with financial goals and resource optimization.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of international manufacturing options to assess cost-effectiveness and operational efficiencies, facilitating informed decision-making as the company expands its global presence.
- Partner closely with functional leaders to gain in-depth insights into their priorities, facilitating the development of budgets that effectively meet their requirements while aligning with the company's financial objectives.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive inventory reporting and controls to ensure accurate financial statements and improve inventory purchasing decision making.
- Develop standard costs and conduct monthly variance analysis against these benchmarks to gauge operational performance and pinpoint opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, GAAP guidance, and other regulatory requirements related to cost accounting and inventory management.
- Maintain precise and compliant COGS and inventory records, ensuring audit readiness and accuracy.
- Support ad hoc analysis and special projects as requested by management.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field required; MBA or CFA preferred.
- 3+ years of finance experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the medical device industry is strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in data aggregation and analysis tools including Excel, Tableau, SQL.
- Proficiency in cost accounting principles, techniques, and methodologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior executives.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and communicate insights to non-financial stakeholders.
