About the Role

 

We are seeking a Senior Corporate Development Analyst to support the growth of our Company through an ambitious M&A agenda. Reporting directly to the Chief Mergers & Acquisitions Officer, this role will entail broad exposure to our executive team with a focus on strategic planning, sourcing, deal execution, and executive communications. You will leverage advanced financial and analytical skills and strong project management abilities, as well as possess a high level of intellectual curiosity about the industry and competitive landscape. 

 

Strategy and Sourcing

•    Monitor industry trends, relevant markets, emerging technologies, and competitive developments to identify potential areas for acquisition and investment. 
•    Conduct market sizing (TAM/SAM/SOM), competitive analysis, and build-buy-partner analyses. 
•    Identify and research potential acquisition targets, leveraging third-party data services, that align with the Company’s Strategic Plan.

 

M&A Deal Execution

•    Ensure M&A pipeline is kept up to date and accurate; prepare dashboards and analysis for internal reporting.
•    Review and analyze target memorandums and data room documentation.  
•    Lead the process of analyzing target financials and developing proprietary valuation models to inform pricing and deal structuring.  Experience building discounted cash flow models and constructing market comparables is essential.
•    Project manage the Due Diligence process including cross-functional team engagement, monitoring of diligence requests / responses / issues, synthesize cross-functional findings and incorporate associated impacts into the acquisition model.
•    Support the Chief M&A Officer in the construction and negotiation of key deal agreements including Indications of Interest, Letters of Intent, and Purchase Agreements.
•    Support the development of internal updates and deal presentations for the Executive Leadership Team and Advisory Board.

 

Stakeholder Management and Communication:

•    Present complex financial analyses and strategic recommendations to leadership in a clear and concise manner. 
•    Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, HR, IT, Sales and other groups to drive due diligence and integration planning.
•    Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, advisors, and investment banks.

 

Requirements:

•    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field 
•    2+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting, with a focus on M&A and strategic analysis. 
•    Advanced skills in financial modeling, financial statement analysis, and valuation.
•    Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally.
•    Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively. 
•    The successful candidate will demonstrate high emotional intelligence, intellectual curiosity, tenacity, and a growth-mindset; he/she is confident yet humble.
