The hourly rate for a current EVSC assistant will be based on years of service with EVSC in an assistant role. Annual, incremental pay increases are given for each year of service with the EVSC in this role if an employee has worked 120 days in a school year. All new employee's start on year 1.

• Completion of the Child Development Associate Certificate and/or completion of an associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education required;

Or

• Complete required online professional development within 60 days of employment. This position does require an additional certification of a CDA. If you are interested in the position but do not have your CDA, outside agencies provide financial support to help employees achieve their CDA while working in the role. Completion of the CDA must be performed within one year of employment.

Prior to employment, applicants must complete the following:

• National criminal background check, including fingerprints, and Child Protective Index check
• Physical, TB Test and Drug Screen
• Online training for: Child Abuse and Neglect, Foundations, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Safe Sleep
• A valid driver's license is required for travel to various schools. 

EVSC offers four (4) Anthem medical insurance plans. Single medical, dental and vision insurance are provided with this position.
