The Sun Prairie YMCA is seeking a dynamic Sports & Programs Director to lead high-quality youth sports and child development programs that support healthy growth, learning, and community connection.

Qualifications:

• Experience in youth sports, child development, recreation, or program management.
• 4 year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Familiar with the Madison and greater Dane County market.
• Have previous supervisory experience, in athletic or sports administration preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Well developed time management skills and ability to work independently.
• Passion for excellent customer service.
• 5+ years experience preferred.
• Required to work nights and weekends as programs need.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and oversee youth sports and child development programs, including leagues, camps, enrichment, and before/after school activities.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise program staff, coaches, and volunteers.
• Ensure child safety, licensing compliance, and YMCA child protection standards are consistently met.
• Develop and manage program budgets, pricing, and participation goals.
• Maintain strong relationships with families, schools, and community partners.
• Monitor program quality, participation, and member satisfaction.
• Collaborate with branch leadership and support YMCA mission and values.
