About the role

Summary: As a Warehouse Technician - Computer Configuration Specialist, you will play a associate role in our operations by managing inventory control, picking orders, configuring computers, and ensuring the quality of incoming and outgoing products for our clientele. This position requires attention to detail, some technical proficiency, good communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. 

Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management:
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels.
  • Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments of laptops and computer components.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies.
2. Order Picking and Packaging:
  • Retrieve items from inventory based on customer orders.
  • Pack and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
3. Computer Configuration:
  • Follow standardized procedures to configure laptops and computers according to client specifications.
  • Install operating systems and software applications as required. Interface with Tech
  • Support Staff.
  • Conduct testing to ensure proper functionality and performance.
4. Quality Control:
  • Inspect incoming laptops for any defects or damage.
  • Clean and refurbish laptops as needed to meet quality standards.
  • Perform quality checks on configured computers to ensure adherence to specifications.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed records of inventory movements, configurations, and quality assessments.
  • Check and reports on inventory levels, order fulfillment, and configuration activities.
  • Document time to task ensuring adequate tracking of activity.
6. Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling equipment and materials.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory management and product handling.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certification or training is a plus.
  • Prior experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or computer assembly/configuration a plus.
  • Proficiency in using computers and software applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work independently.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy boxes throughout the day (up to 40 lbs.)
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must be able to speak and read English
  • Walk or stand for most of the shift
  • Clean background checks

Schedule:
  • 8-hour shift
