<p><b><span>Senior Ma</span><span>n</span><span>ager / Associate Director: Tax Business Partnering </span></b><span> </span></p><p><b>Stockholm (Sweden) </b></p><p><span> </span></p><p><span><span>Join a talented global team that's powering AstraZeneca to better serve patients every day</span></span><span> </span></p><p></p><p><b><span>About the role </span></b><span> </span></p><p></p><p><span><span>Tax Business Partnering forms part of the Global Tax Strategy and Partnering Team, within AstraZeneca’s Global Tax function.</span></span><span> </span></p><p></p><p><span><span>As a Senior Manager / Associate Director within the Tax Business Partnering team, you will </span><span>have a solely advisory </span><span>position</span><span> and </span><span>play a pivotal role in delivering tax advice to the broader AZ business, ensuring compliant and policy-aligned actions across multiple functions and </span><span>jurisdictions</span><span>. </span></span><span> </span></p><p></p><p></p><p><b><span>Key <span>Accountabilities </span></span></b><span> </span></p><p></p><p><span><span>T</span><span>he position requires a</span><span>n </span><span>experienced </span><span>international</span><span> tax professional that </span><span>is able to</span><span> build strong relationships and become a trusted advis</span><span>e</span><span>r to the business, supporting a range of </span><span>business-led </span><span>initiatives </span><span>with clear, considered tax advice. </span></span><span> </span></p><p></p><p><span><span>These initiative</span><span> could </span><span>includ</span><span>e</span><span>, but not </span><span>be </span><span>limited to; </span></span><span> </span></p><ul><li><p><span><span>D</span><span>esigning supply chains for new product launches</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>S</span><span>upporting complex contract negotiations</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>A</span><span>ssessing viability of global mobility initiatives</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>P</span><span>roviding input to </span><span>strategic </span><span>location strategies</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>A</span><span>dvising on tax consequences of debt </span><span>and foreign exchange </span><span>planning</span><span>, and s</span></span><span><span>upporting </span><span>the implementation of</span><span> </span><span>market expansion / new market entrance</span><span>.  </span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><span><span>The successful candidate will report directly to the head of Tax Business Partnering and be given significant autonomy to manage their </span><span>allocated</span><span> portfolio of business units.  They must hav</span><span>e</span><span> </span><span>a </span><span>strong </span><span>desire</span><span> to understand the business and be comfortable working opposite senior stakeholders in a </span><span>complex and </span><span>multi-project environment.</span></span><span> </span></p><p></p><p></p><p><b><span>Essential experience &amp; </span><span>c</span><span>riteria </span></b><span> </span></p><p></p><ul><li><p><span><span>Degree educated with </span><span>either </span><span>a recognised tax / accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, CA, CTA, ADIT etc)</span><span> or equivalent legal qualification (LLM).</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Extensive experience in an international tax role within a multinational organization or </span><span>leading </span><span>accounting firm, with experience advising on a range of international tax issues.</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Ability to </span><span>communicate </span><span>complex technical matters </span><span>in written </span><span>and spoken </span><span>English</span><span> </span><span>appropriate </span><span>to</span><span> </span><span>either </span><span>a tax or lay audience as may be </span><span>required</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p>A<span><span>bility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Proactive and results-oriented, with a commitment to continuous improvement.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><span> </span></p><p><span><span>When we put teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines.
