Job Description: 

Laronde is seeking a Preclinical Manufacturing Associate Contractor for Preclinical eRNA Production. This position is located at 101 South St Somerville MA 02143.  

Laronde's 3rd party production subcontractor will be hiring for this position. Employees under this position with be working at Laronde for the contractor with the option to convert to a full-time Laronde employee based on performance and other criteria. 

The individual in this role will be part of a cohesive preclinical manufacturing team responsible for producing (endless / circular) eRNA. The successful candidate will be able to operate HPLC’s, automated robotics, general lab equipment, and interact with peers and supervisors in Preclinical Manufacturing, and cross-functionally with Process Development, Analytical Development, and Automation.  

Responsibilities: 

• Execute preclinical manufacturing operations using benchtop disposable technologies, automation, and digital systems to produce eRNA 
• Demonstrate general knowledge of standard lab practices.
• Establish and follow written procedures and complete accurate documentation of process data.
• Practice safe work habits and adhere to Laronde’s safety procedures and guidelines.
• Utilize knowledge to improve operational efficiency and identify process bottleneck(s).
• Work closely with a cross functional team for process / equipment optimization.
• Maintain a clean general operating area.
• Keep manager informed on status of all projects and of significant findings and results 

 

Education/Experience: 

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field  
• Ability to collaborate with peers, supervisors and cross functional support groups 
• Exceptional written, oral communication, and organizational skills 
• Experience with basic lab operations and techniques a plus such as: 
• Aktas 
• HPLCs 
• Hamiltons 
• Filtration and Buffer Exchange
