Job Summary
Summary<br>Responsible for ensuring that all necessary information is accurately collected and recorded. Will work to provide a positive patient experience while obtaining the information necessary to facilitate patient care and billing processes.<br><br>Does this position require Patient Care?<br>No<br><br>Essential Functions<br>-Greet patients and families in a professional and welcoming manner <br>-Verify insurance coverage and pre-authorization requirements <br>
-Collect and enter patient demographics and insurance information into electronic medical records <br>
-Ensure accurate and complete collection of patient demographic and insurance information <br>
-Obtain necessary signatures for consent and authorization forms <br>
-Resolve insurance and billing-related issues <br>
-Maintain a high level of customer service and work to resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner <br>
-Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality guidelines <br>

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Licenses and Credentials
Experience
experience in a healthcare setting, with a focus on patient access and registration 2-3 years required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification procedures.
- Strong customer service skills, including the ability to resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional manner.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
