Morris Group, Inc., one of the largest machine tool distribution networks in North America, is seeking an ambitious and diligent Parts/Warehouse Supervisor for our Scott, Louisiana office. We are looking for an experienced individual who has demonstrated success in overseeing the day-to-day operations of a warehouse, parts depot, and its employees. This role will provide the right individual with opportunities to work for a great company in a fast-paced, growing industry.

What You Will Contribute:

The Parts/Warehouse Supervisor will develop an annual business plan and support strategies. This person will support, supervise, and coach all parts employees to ensure they provide a high level of customer support. They will also coordinate all vendor relationships as needed. The Parts/Warehouse Supervisor will take ownership of customer-related problems and coordination with appropriate departments when necessary. Other duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the recruiting, supervision, performance and development of direct-reporting staff.
  • Finding opportunities for improvement in processes and making recommendations for enhancing them for efficiency.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain an inventory control system that improves investment in parts through higher inventory turns and same day customer service support.
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and supervising security procedures and protocols.
  • Maintains the physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts and inspecting equipment accordingly.
  • Proactively identifying situations that might adversely affect our relationship with our customers; assisting with developing processes to prevent future issues; and presenting these situations and resolutions.
  • Possessing and maintaining a basic knowledge of nomenclature of the machine tool industry and a specific product line represented by the company.
  • Adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.

Job Proficiencies & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of warehouse supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of five years of inventory management, stock reconciliation, and stock ordering to maintain appropriate parts levels for demand.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and resolve complex problems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience in Salesforce preferred.
