Job Description

As a Security Professional - Hotel Patrol - Overnight Shift in Portland, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts and more .

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a distinguished hotel location, you will play a key role in helping to create a welcoming and secure environment for guests and staff. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the property, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing exceptional customer service. You will be expected to respond promptly to situations, assist guests with inquiries, and use your communication skills to support a positive atmosphere. This position requires a valid driver's license, as driving may be part of your daily duties. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the hotel location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a welcoming environment for guests and staff.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the hotel property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, and verifying credentials as required.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the property to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to guests and staff.
• Support Allied Universal management and hotel staff during emergency situations and/or evacuations as directed.
• Complete required reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
