As a Supply Chain Manager I, you'll lead a team of buyers, subcontracts management specialist and category leads to define, develop and improve the supply base and esure it's support to SNC programs. You'll establish priorities to maintain production schedules to ensure program milestones and delivery requirements are met, as well as coordinate with executive management, program management and other department managers to ensure the company’s material, planning and production objectives are accomplished. You'll prepare capital, contract equipment and facility requests based on program and company demands. Additionally, you'll lead supply chain innovation and efficiency throughout the Business Area by partnering with departments to support the company’s vision. You'll function as a supply chain liaison within the business by collaborating with Operations, planning, and the logistics groups. You'll drive innovation by maximizing capabilities of current procurement management systems and seek out new advancements in technology and process. You'll drive the supply chain discovery process, drive implementation and deployment for complex projects. You'll ensure meaningful supply chain KPIs (key performance indicators) are set, measured and communicated across the organization to drive visibility on goals, as well as provide leadership to direct reports, including responsibility for your department’s performance.
The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber. Responsibilities:
- Develop, review and approve purchase order packages to ensure compliance with all internal procedures, laws and regulations
- Review of expediting reports; oversee delivery status and assist in identifying systemic problems
- Supports proposal activities to price bill of materials ensuring appropriate cost justification and documentation
- Manage reporting requirements for relevant performance metrics
- Follows best business practices to support UCC, FAR, DFAR, CFR, CAS, and government regulations
- Consistently improves Procurement operations including increased personnel capabilities and skills through training
- Ensures Audit Readiness of Purchasing Group ensuring CPSR approval Promotes a professional pro-active procurement environment
- Supports near and long term department plans in line with company objectives and policies
- Assists the department in Metric understanding and compliance; resolves issues with buyers
Must-haves:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field of study
- Relevant work experience may substitute for required education
- Proficient negotiations skills
- Candidate must have Supply Chain Management skills.
Preferred:
- Typically, 2-4 years of relevant experience
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Prefer a candidate with both development and production experience skills.
- In-depth working knowledge of commodity, Category and Sourcing Management
- Background in manufacturing timelines and requirements
- Ability to read and understand technical requirements
- Experience working in Supply Chain supporting government contracts
- Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance
