The Opportunity
As the Global Microsoft Alliances and GTM Sr. Director, you will be entrusted with leading Commvault’s hyperscaler relationship with Microsoft across all aspects go-to-market execution, joint solution development and technical collaboration. This role demands a strategic, results-driven leader who can accelerate revenue, scale co-sell engagements, and drive measurable impact through deep interlock with Microsoft execs, sellers and partner teams couple with internal Commvault stakeholders.
This leadership position reports directly to the SVP of Global Partners and Channel and offers CCO and CEO-level visibility and executive engagement with Microsoft. You will own the joint growth strategy, including revenue planning, campaign execution, and budget management, and work closely with product, marketing, and sales teams to bring innovative offerings to market and convert opportunity into pipeline and closed business.
What You’ll Do…
- Expand, cultivate, and maintain executive-level relationships with key collaborators at Microsoft, including partner managers, solution architects, and field sales leaders.
- Own the joint business plan, including revenue growth targets, campaign strategies, and budget planning and oversight.
- Identify, negotiate, and establish new partnership agreements aligned to Microsoft’s strategic goals and customer priorities.
- Accelerate co-sell engagement by identifying top joint accounts, creating co-sell motions, and driving execution across Commvault and Microsoft field organizations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to launch field campaigns and GTM initiatives that drive pipeline creation and revenue realization.
- Build joint programs, sales plays, and enablement plans; ensure execution in market through collaboration with global sales, marketing, and product teams.
- Drive co-innovation and joint solution development by aligning on roadmap priorities and leveraging each company’s technical strengths.
- Lead regular QBRs and performance reviews to assess partnership success, share progress with Commvault and Microsoft leadership, and adapt the strategy as needed.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitive shifts, and Microsoft ecosystem changes to inform future initiatives and maintain partner relevance.
Who You Are…
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Proven experience leading global strategic partnerships with Microsoft, with measurable revenue outcomes.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft’s commercial ecosystem, products, and co-sell frameworks.
- Strong executive presence and negotiation skills; ability to influence across multiple levels internally and externally.
- Demonstrated ability to convert strategy into field-executable plans that drive joint pipeline and bookings.
- Data-driven leader with experience building dashboards, measuring KPIs, and refining plans based on performance insights.
- Experienced in developing and managing budgets tied to GTM plans and partnership investments.
- Excellent project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support field and executive engagements.
