POSITION DESCRIPTION: At DrinkPAK, we're currently seeking Seasonal Packaging Technicians to become valuable members of our team. As a Seasonal Packaging Technician, you'll play a crucial role in our production process. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the day-to-day operations of the packaging lines. This includes tasks such as setting up equipment, monitoring production runs, conducting quality checks, and ensuring that packaging materials are used efficiently. 

You will work closely with other team members to maintain our high standards of safety and quality. This involves following standard operating procedures, adhering to safety protocols, and promptly addressing any issues that may arise during production. Additionally, you'll be responsible for maximizing throughput while minimizing downtime, helping us meet our production goals effectively 

LOCATION: The position is based at DrinkPAK's headquarters in Santa Clarita, California. 

SHIFT: Must be willing to work either day and/or night shift; 12 hours per day 2/2/3 Schedule

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate Packaging Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate packaging machinery, including depalletizing, filling, sealing, packing, and palletizing equipment, according to standard operating procedures. 

Quality Control: Monitor product quality throughout the packaging process to ensure adherence to company and regulatory standards. Conduct visual inspections and perform quality checks on packaged products. 

Material Handling: Handle packaging materials, including cans, ends, and packaging supplies, with care to prevent damage or contamination. Load packaging materials onto machinery and replenish supplies as needed. 

Productivity and Efficiency: Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production targets and achieve production efficiency goals. Follow production schedules and prioritize tasks to maximize productivity. 

Problem Solving: Utilize problem-solving methodologies to swiftly troubleshoot and diagnose equipment faults, ensuring efficient resolution. 

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards, incidents, or near misses to the Packaging Supervisor immediately. 

Cleaning and Sanitation: Perform routine cleaning and sanitation tasks to ensure packaging equipment and work areas remain clean and organized. Follow sanitation protocols to prevent cross-contamination and maintain hygiene standards. 

Documentation: Complete production logs, quality control forms, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Record production data, including quantities produced, downtime, and any deviations from standard procedures. 

Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication. Support cross-training initiatives to develop skills and knowledge across different areas of production. 

Development: Stay current with job-related skills and knowledge through active participation in educational opportunities and job shadowing experiences.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment preferred but not required. 

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
