About the role

The SPLC seeks a Multimedia Learning & Product Developer passionate about civic and political action education for everyone!

The Multimedia Learning & Product Developer is responsible for advancing Learning for Justice’s education and advocacy efforts through development of multimedia and experiential learning experiences, education products and advocacy campaigns for multiple platforms and audiences, both in-person in SPLC’s 5 states and online for a national audience.

What You'll Do

Develop multimedia learning experiences and education products (including webinars, podcasts, documentary film and multimedia projects, gamification and interactive learning product development) for community in-person engagements and virtual learnings.

Coordinate LFJ film and multimedia project contents and speakers’ series for in-person and online learning engagement.

Coordinate and leverage various communication platforms (includes, but is not limited to website, social media, newsletter, in-person events to engage multiple audiences.

Collaborate on research and writing of public education resource content and contribute to informational and promotional campaigns in a creative and editorial capacity.

Collaborate in designing and supporting community learning experiences.

Manage project plans and progress updates for all assigned projects, coordinating work across the internal team and external stakeholders.

Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification.

Minimum Qualifications 

We are committed to equitable hiring practices; therefore, you must meet the minimum qualifications to be considered for the role.

  • Minimum of five years of demonstrated experience designing multimedia experiential learning activities for educational initiatives; and
  •  High School Diploma or GED.

Compensation & Benefits

This is an exempt role and the minimum starting salary is $84,905 annually. Salary will be commensurate with experience. 

Where & How You'll Work 

This position has the following work designations. 

  • Local Remote:  Will work remotely, but is expected to attend work-related activities that occur at the SPLC offices or in the states in which the SPLC operates.
  • Telework:  Will work at an SPLC office at least three days per week and may work two days per week from an alternative work location.
  • Distant Remote: Will work remotely and are not expected to work in the states in which the SPLC has an office or in an SPLC office. They may be required to attend occasional meetings or activities in the states in which the SPLC has an office or elsewhere.
  • This position will report to the Deputy Director, Curriculum & Content.

Other Special Considerations 

This job is performed under general office conditions and is not subject to any strenuous physical demands or dangerous conditions.
