The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is seeking a Revenue Cycle Services Training and Projects Lead for the Registration, Student Scheduling, and Patient Financial Services areas. The Dental Clinics are an important part of the health care delivery system ensuring optimal health care experience for our dental patients and students.


The Revenue Cycle Services Training and Projects Lead functions as a key member of the Revenue Cycle Team at the College of Dentistry. This lead position is responsible for overseeing the training of revenue cycle functions across the college, ensuring that specific revenue cycle functions (registration, scheduling, cashiering, insurance billing, prior authorization, etc..) are all shared across all revenue cycle areas where appropriate. Position will be responsible for developing training material, directing cross training, and maintaining ongoing proficiency and improvement of capabilities across the college.  In addition to leading training across the college the position will look to recommend opportunities for efficiencies and improvements in the revenue cycle processes at the college. Position will have a key role in any of these projects as they arise. Position will also serve as a representative for the college in any electronic health record enhancement opportunities. This position may include weekends and evening work.


Work Schedule:    Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm

Candidate must be able to push / pull carts containing office supplies, bend / stretch / twist to pick up supplies, maintain office appearance, stand and walk for periods of time serving and assisting customers.

The Targeted Hiring Range for this position is $18.35 to $24.00. Salary is commensurate with experience and education.


Required: 4 years Dental/Medical Office experience, 4 years Dental/Medical Office front desk, operations, scheduling, and or billing experience, Proven experience guiding and coordinating workflow, showing initiative to assist on large projects through indirect management of staff, proven ability to communicate effectively with higher levels of leadership, and make independent decisions, and or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Desired: 6-10 years Dental/Medical Office experience, knowledge of  electronic health record (EHR) software; very detailed oriented; developed organizational skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; a high level of proficiency using Microsoft Office in a business environment; ability to complete appropriate correspondence to maintain patient communication; self-motivated individual capable of making informed decisions independently; open to develop and create on-going process improvements; working as a team member and has high level of emotional intelligence; able to develop positive working relationships with a diverse population; creates and analyzes patient data with a high level of accuracy. Previous experience in training and/or business office operations preferred. Previous Revenue Cycle and Electronic Health Record training experience in developing curriculum, training plans and teaching materials strongly recommended.  


Final candidate must successfully complete a background check and drug and alcohol screening.
