The Role
Linktree is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior People and Culture Business Partner to join our team in California. In this role, you will primarily support the Product, Engineering and Design functions, providing expert guidance and support to ensure the success and well-being of our employees. You will work hand-in-hand with the CPO and CTO to build and execute on talent strategies, performance management, P&E policies, compliance, and employee relations.
Additionally, you will play a strategic role in shaping the direction of the people and culture function, specifically focusing on US people initiatives and policies.
What You’ll Own
Product & Engineering Business Partnering: Be a key strategic member of Product and Engineering, acting as a trusted advisor and partner to the functions and their executive leaders on all people-related matters. Develop a deep understanding of their teams, objectives, and challenges to proactively address any people-related needs, and to facilitate high performance with highly engaged and effective teams.
Talent Management: Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to attract, hire, and onboard top talent, with a specific focus on Product and Engineering. Work closely with managers to identify talent gaps, develop succession plans, and implement strategies for employee development and growth within P&E.
Employee Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives to drive employee engagement and foster a positive and inclusive work environment. Analyze the results of engagement surveys for your functions, and partner with functional leaders on recommendations for improvement.
Employee Relations: Handle complex employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution. Provide coaching and support to managers to embed and develop a culture of high performance.
Performance Management: Lead the performance management process for P&E, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback. Train managers on effective performance management techniques and ensure alignment with company values and objectives.
Compensation and Benefits: Partner with the Head of People Operations and the Finance team to ensure competitive and equitable compensation and benefits programs. Provide guidance on compensation decisions, promotions, and salary adjustments, with a specific focus on the US market.
HR Policies and Compliance: Stay up to date on relevant employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. Review and update HR policies and procedures as needed.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Head of People Operations and SVP People & Legal to develop and execute the people strategy for the US region. Contribute to the development of global people initiatives and policies.
P&C team player: Help build a world-class people strategy that takes into account the unique challenges of both remote and hybrid work across multiple time zones and reflects our commitment to diversity of thought. Who We’re Looking For
An experienced People professional with a minimum 8 years of experience in a P&C or HR role
Well versed in Product and Engineering teams, with a minimum of 2 years supporting Product and/or Engineering.
Comfortable working within a tech startup or in a hyper growth environment. Thrive in a fast-moving, fluid environment.
Extensive knowledge of US employment laws and regulations.
Proven experience in handling complex employee relations matters and providing guidance to managers.
Strong understanding of talent management practices, including performance management, talent development, and succession planning.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization and to influence strong executive leaders.
Strategic thinker but willing to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in change management
People-first approach but with an understanding of commercial needs
Linktree is committed to providing a competitive compensation package. Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $150,000-$205,000 in the San Francisco Bay or Los Angeles area. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple facto
