About the Role
 

Client Coordinators are a core part of the sales team, supporting the Head of Industry and Client Leads, to provide the best client service to our media partners. As a Client Coordinator, you will help create media decks, help with some aspects of account management, will become knowledgeable in the sales process, and will learn and understand the full suite of NYT products across all platforms. This role is a great opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in advertising within a Media or Publishing environment. You will report into the Director, Sales Operations. This is a hybrid position, based in our New York City headquarters. You will report to the office in-person 3 or more days per week.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Create and organize decks for proposals by using templates, pulling together product slides, submitting insights requests and working with sales, strategy and manager

  • Help develop the RFP process by serving as a liaison on print products. 

  • Use Salesforce to maintain key account information, help forecast through tracking  print insertions and providing sales with print numbers

  • For proposals, at the direction of the seller, initiate internal rate discussions with appropriate teams or partners.

  • Communicate with COF, request/submit reservations, positions and communicate about RA’s for billing.

  • Track spending for print and digital advertising. 

  • Assist HoI and sellers with POD related organizational tasks (i.e. creating monthly meeting presentations, taking notes).

  • Review NDA contracts with the Legal Department, alert sellers about changes/corrections.

  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external clients.
     

Basic Qualifications:

  • 0-1 years of related experience

  • Experienced with Microsoft office and Google applications

  • Experienced working in a team environment
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree

  • Familiarity with sales and data management tools such as SalesForce

  • An interest in the advertising sales profession

This position is represented by the NewsGuild of NY.

The annual base pay for this role is $66,300.00.
