Job Profile Summary
Performs data entry of patient information and laboratory test orders on outpatient laboratory specimens to ensure quality results are reported timely to the clients of Clinical Laboratory and Central Georgia Diagnostics Reference Laboratory Services. Provides client support for physicians and staff as needed.
Major Responsibilities:
- Operates laboratory and hospital information system for entry and retrieval of patient demographic data and order entry. Works in partnership with Patient Registration department to ensure data is obtained and entered into system.
- Processes outpatient lab specimens, accurately orders tests and labels specimens for testing in the clinical lab.
- Retrieves patient data and results for clients and physicians. Operates remote printers and fax to deliver information as requested. Retrieves archived patient data from optical disk. Adheres to HIPAA standards at all times to ensure patient confi
