<p><strong>Position Objective</strong></p><p>To maintain the Hospital Environment in a clean and sanitary condition through disinfecting surfaces and organizing areas in an attractive manner presenting a customer focus and friendly atmosphere</p><p><strong>Essential Job Duties:</strong></p><p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p><ol><li>Assists ES attendants with daily&nbsp;assignments to include assigning critical tasks that affect patient care. Oversees the activities of the ES attendants working on their floors to insure all job assignments, tasks and responsibilities are completed&nbsp;consistently. Monitors ES staff patient interaction and customer service&nbsp;delivery.</li><li>Verifies that scheduled staff has reported for duty, and makes adjustments to staffing pattern as needed.</li><li>Monitors all patient areas as assigned for cleanliness and insures that they maintain perpetual readiness for regulatory inspections.</li><li>Conducts patient rounds, and other quality studies on a regular basis. Interacts with patients, in a professional manner providing a customer service example for ES staff.</li><li>Responds to patient and nursing&nbsp;requests immediately acting as liaison between nursing and ES attendants.</li><li>Operates Spectralink phone efficiently.</li><li>Insures that all floors have adequate cleaning supplies.</li><li>Generates all required computer reports and documents as needed.</li><li>Provides leadership and assists&nbsp;if needed with the turnover of patient rooms.</li><li>Supervises all ES staff and&nbsp;department activities in the absence of the ES Supervisor and management staff.</li></ol><p><strong>Educational/Experience Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent certificate within one year of hire.</li><li>Ability to read, follow oral and written instructions.</li><li>A professional mannerism that would have positive outcomes on patients, visitors, staff and coworkers.</li></ul><p><strong>Required License/Certifications:</strong></p><ul><li>N.A</li></ul><p><strong>Working Conditions, Equipment, Physical Demands:</strong></p><p>There is a reasonable expectation that employees in this position will be exposed to blood-borne pathogens.</p><p><strong>Physical Demands – Heavy</strong></p><p><strong>The physical demands and work environment that have been described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
