The Agentic AI Software Engineer (Python/Go) Role

This is more than just a software engineering position - it’s an opportunity to help shape the future of how AI and data governance converge.

As a Software Engineer in our Data Governance & AI team, you’ll be building the next generation of cloud-native, AI-powered applications at Qlik, with a focus on autonomous agents designed to reason, plan, and act independently.

Based in either Suresnes or Nantes (in hybrid mode), you’ll work hands-on with Python and Go to engineer a scalable agentic ecosystem, not just one-off agents, but complex systems designed for production, embedded directly into our SaaS platform.

Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:

• Shape real-world AI agents: Design and implement autonomous agents that contribute directly to Qlik’s Data Business Unit and are built for scale, performance, and real-world use.
• Drive engineering excellence: Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code that balances iteration speed with quality and long-term maintainability.
• Build with cutting-edge tech: Work with frameworks like LangChain and LangGraph in Python, using agent planning loops, prompt orchestration, and tool APIs to enable robust AI behaviour.
• Tackle multifaceted challenges: From legal and compliance considerations to observability and cost-efficiency, you’ll design for real-world constraints in a dynamic, global environment.
• Contribute to an ambitious vision: Be part of Qlik’s mission to make data more intelligent and accessible through AI - building tools that deliver real impact for users worldwide.

We’re looking for a teammate with:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience with at least 1 year working directly with LLMs or AI infrastructure. 
• Experience building with LLMs or using frameworks like LangChain. 
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, agent planning loops, and tool integration (APIs, plugins). 
• Intermediate Knowledge in
