As the Associate Manager, Catman & Shopper Insights, you will be responsible for developing and creating a Category Vision and Strategy for our Oral Care, Personal Care and Home Care Categories for ShopRite!
In this role, you will create and share compelling stories that provide insight to how shopper behaviors are influencing our categories. You will serve as the category expert by delivering insight-based, engaging category presentations to highlight opportunities. You will establish solid internal and external relationships based on thought leadership. You will analyze the 5Ps and analyze product introductions, pricing, seasonal reviews and programs, promotional planning and evaluation, consumer usage analyses, and understanding the impact of assortment changes on category and brand growth. You will utilize category analysis, shopper insights and other available analytic tools and will apply your expertise to drive solutions for Colgate and our customers.
You will drive the discovery and use of consumer, customer, and market insights for use in building strategies across the Customer Development Team, category and planning, as well as customer communications, and initiatives that enhance brand and category performance.
Who are you
- You're a storyteller - The ability to interpret and communicate shopper & consumer data and effectively integrate the insights to tell fact based stories to drive category solutions. You will develop customer presentations, recommendations for new item introductions, and conduct plan-o-gram reviews.
- You can strategize - Initiating and synchronizing our brand strategies and priorities with customer strategies for an outcome where we all win, execute new product initiatives accordingly, and conduct promotional post-analysis.
- You like to collaborate - Establish key partnerships that thrive on mutual trust and integrity in working relationships as consultants to the customer. We will also rely on you to communicate and reinforce brand strategies & objectives internally.
- You know the systems - Strong proficiency in Nielsen, Numerator, dunnhumby & JDA and other customer point of sale systems are required so that we can provide reliable, fact based analysis. You’ll apply shelf management software and category expertise to provide recommendations for shelf placement for new items and existing products. You will also coordinate “Fair Share of Shelf” support and utilize plan-o-gram software.

Be a key participant in the account-specific strategic planning process. Act as a strong, clear, objective, and inspiring voice on behalf of and within the North America CDO Enterprise.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 8+ years of consumer product sales or category management experience, or other relevant sales/marketing experience
- 5+ years of experience analyzing syndicated data (Nielsen, Circana)
- 2+ years of experience managing, coaching and developing people
- Experience working with retailer POS data
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets & Slides
- Availability to travel 20% of the time
Preferred qualifications
- Experience working with customer Shopper Behavior Data (Luminate, Dunhumby, 84.51/Stratum, Symphony, etc.)
