The Site Supervisor will be responsible for the daily operations, training and development of Security Officers at their location. The successful candidate will possess a strong knowledge of supervisory practices, procedures, and security operations.
Duties may include the following; other duties may be assigned by the Operations Manager or Branch General Manager:
- Responsible for the performance of all shifts and Security Officers on duty;
- Has a working knowledge and understanding of the Specific and General Post instructions for post(s). Has practical knowledge of all additional and emergency post instructions that are called for by the client;
- Patrols post assigned by walking or using company provided vehicle where applicable;
- Conducts inspections of Post and Security Officers for proper compliance with the specific Post Orders, Walden Security procedures and general knowledge of post assignment;
- Informs the Post supervisor, Roving or Field Supervisors and the Operations Manager of matters/issues that cannot wait until the next workday;
- Records the daily events of their post on the Officers Daily Reports (ODR) which will be reviewed by the Post Supervisor, Roving or Field Supervisors and the Operations Manager;
- Registers at watch stations to record time of inspection trips and contracted random inspections.
- Assists in conducting on-the-job-training for newly assigned Security Officers as necessary;
- Responds to urgent client needs/requests for services or changes to services;
- Properly notifies authorities (supervisors, police or fire department, client, etc.) of emergency situations and/or post order violations;
- Examines doors, windows, and gates of assigned posts to determine that they are secure;
- Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, and expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts;
- Immediate responsibility to direct, supervise, and support assigned site Security Officers.
- Monitors the performance of Security Officers, Patrol Officers, and SOC Operators, performing random inspections and providing direction as needed.
- Maintain weekly schedules to ensure each post is staffed with capable and trained personnel.
- Escalate staffing concerns immediately to the Account Manager.
- Communicate daily and weekly with the Account Manager regarding account performance and Security personnel performance.
- Assist with the training and development of Security personnel.
- Conduct investigative video reviews and report findings; Assist in conducting investigations and update requestors in a timely manner.
- Review incident reports for quality, completeness, and accuracy.
- The Site Supervisor will act as a liaison between the Account Manager, Operators, and Security Officers, providing coaching, recognition, and corrective discipline.
- Perform audits and run reports as needed.
- Inspects posts as scheduled and meets with Officers to outline tasks and responsibilities.
- Ensure that Officers sign in and out for their scheduled shifts accurately for every shift.
- Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner.
- Assists in conducting on-the-job-training for newly assigned security officers as necessary.
- Ensures Security Officers adhere to uniform dress and grooming standards consistent with company standards.
- Ensure timely notification of all serious incidents.
- Able to manage and handle situations of a sensitive nature and maintain company’s confidentiality and information security practices (personnel issues, investigations, public relations incidents, emergency personnel contact information, etc.).
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year experience in a supervisory, or leadership role.
- Requires a year of related experience in any of the following categories; crisis management, physical security, critical infrastructure protection, risk controls, or loss prevention.
- Display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently.
- Able to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow, or heat.
- Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time.
- Maintain daily logs and prepare and provide reports as required.
- Must possess strong computer skills with a high proficiency in the Google workspace and an ability to find information fast.
