Position Overview
Sutro Biopharma, Inc. is looking for an enthusiastic part-time Contract Lab Assistant to join our Protein Biochemistry team. In this role, you will be supporting the team with sample requests handling from internal stakeholders. This position requires an on-site commitment of two days per week, with shifts scheduled two days apart, each lasting four hours. The initial contract term is six months, with the possibility of an extension based on business needs.

Responsibilities

Sample Request Fulfillment – Supporting the research functional teams by processing sample requests, including aliquoting samples, updating inventory records, and conducting intra-site deliveries.
Inventory Management – Assisting with the aliquoting of new protein batches and ensuring accurate addition to the inventory system.
Buffer Preparation – Preparing buffers as per established protocols for ongoing research experiments.

Qualifications:

High school degree or some college with a strong foundational knowledge of chemistry. Lab experience preferred but not required.
Strong data accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

The anticipated salary range for fully qualified candidates applying for this role at Sutro Biopharma’s California based locations will be $20.00 - $25.00 per hour. The base salary offered will vary depending on the market, job-related knowledge, skills and capabilities, and experience.
