About Cloudflare Security Team
The Security team at Cloudflare is focused on and committed to securing both Cloudflare and our customers. The Security team is responsible for keeping our corporate and production environments and systems secure, as well as building and maintaining infrastructure that allows the team to respond to incidents at scale and at a rapid pace. 

Description
The ideal summer intern is passionate about making the Internet a better place.You will create on-going security controls directly responsible for securing Cloudflare systems. Some examples of work past interns have contributed to include designing and building services to; ingest and manage large datasets, process analytics, enrich and alert. You’ll be deploying changes with configuration management or building controls to enforce security policies.

General Intern Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree or program in Computer Science or Engineering
• DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, etc.
• Advanced programming experience (Python, Rust, Golang, etc.)
• Experience with a continuous integration workflow, and use of source control (we use git)
• Experience writing code with REST and/or gRPC APIs with the ability to debug and manipulate output logs

Bonus Requirements

• Concepts around log aggregation and ETL processes 
• Experience with public cloud infrastructure; AWS, GCP, Azure, GCP preferred
• Advanced knowledge of Linux, MacOS, or Windows operating systems
• Frontend and Backend Development experience
