FAMILY SUPPORT PARTNER CMIS

Position Summary

Bethanna is seeking a compassionate and experienced Family Support Partner to join our Children’s Mobile Intervention Service (CMIS) team. The Family Support Partner will provide vital emotional support and resources to youth in crisis and their families. This role engages families during crisis situations, facilitates family support groups, and partners with the CMIS team to promote empowerment and advocacy.

By sharing personal lived experiences, the Family Support Partner helps caregivers develop motivation and actionable insight. This position focuses on building family strengths and addressing behavioral health needs through coaching, training, and modeling relevant skills for caregivers.

Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Travel to schools, homes, and community locations required
Location: Reed Street, South Philadelphia 
Hourly Rate: $17.85

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with families during youth behavioral health crises and provide emotional support

• Facilitate family support groups that foster connection and empowerment

• Share personal lived experience to inspire and motivate caregivers

• Support caregivers in developing skills to address youth behavioral health needs

• Collaborate with the CMIS team to provide holistic support to youth and families

• Provide information and guidance on available community resources

Eligibility

• High School Diploma required

• Lived Experience Required: Must have direct personal experience as a biological parent or primary caregiver managing children/adolescents with behavioral or psychiatric challenges including:

  • Behavioral and psychiatric issues

  • Juvenile delinquency

  • Substance abuse

  • Autism or other developmental concerns

• Minimum of 2 years lived experience managing these challenges

• Compassion, empathy, and strong communication skills

• Ability to travel locally to schools, homes, and community sites during day shift hours

Note: Formal education beyond high school is not required. Personal lived experience is the key qualification for success in this role.

Compensation & Schedule

• Hourly Rate: $17.85

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Travel required as part of the job
