The Role:

As a Clearing System Subject Matter Expert with a proven track record of building post-trade systems in the areas of clearing, settlement, or custody, you will play a pivotal role in redefining the banking infrastructure and shaping the future of the financial industry. 

You will work closely with a team of talented senior and staff engineers to design and build innovative clearing systems for futures, fixed income, corporate actions and/or forex products. Drawing on your extensive first-hand knowledge, learnings and battle scars, you will guide the team in avoiding pitfalls and building the right models and systems to ensure the efficient processing of trades. 

You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and compliance teams to ensure that the clearing system is functioning effectively and meeting all regulatory requirements. Requirements:

• You have 10+ years of hands-on experience building clearing, settlement or custody systems for different asset classes in international markets.
• You have worked across different functions within an organization to build and ship post trade products.
• You can clearly explain the nuances of clearing systems to engineers.
• Strong understanding of clearing concepts and processes, including trade matching, margining, and collateral management
• Experience with clearing platforms.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Preferred, but not required, experience on the Clearing & Custody Team Stack: Golang, gRPC, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes. Readiness to learn this stack is required.

We are considering Mid and Senior Level candidates for this role. Base Salary Range is $170,000 - $240,000. The range is representative of the starting base salary for this role at Clear Street. Which range a candidate fits into and where a candidate falls in the range will be based on job related factors such as relevant experience, skills, and location. These ranges represent Base Salary only, which is just one element of Clear Street's total compensation. The ranges stated do not include other factors of total compensation such as bonuses or equity.
