Your Role at Baxter

As a Research Associate you will effectively contribute to a variety of projects within the R&D team and development & validation of LC-MS methods targeting specifically nitrosamines. Conduct routine/non-routine research and design experiments. Participate in project team and work in collaboration with other R&D groups of Formulation Development, Quality Control, Process Development, Manufacturing, etc

What you'll be doing:

• Perform nitrosamines testing on finished products or R&D samples to support Baxter global strategy
• Develop, evaluate and/or validate new LC-MS analytical methods to analyze raw materials and finished products in the frame of R&D projects.
• Provide support for initiatives in R&D, market and regulatory affairs questions, industrial troubleshooting, etc.
• Create and update equipment and analytical procedures.
• Interpret experimental data and present conclusions to supervisor, project leader and management.
• Write comprehensive protocols and reports in English.
• Adhere to the quality system requirements and ensure GMP and GDP standards; also adhere to general and specific environmental, health and safety guidelines.
• Maintain laboratory reagents, materials and equipment as directed, including obtaining such items, maintaining materials and equipment in good operating order.

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant scientific discipline (chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences) with 3+ years’ experience or Master’s degree with 1+ years’ experience or PhD with 0+ years’ experience.
• Very good theoretical and practical knowledge of analysis by LC-MS
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to adapt to various environments
• knowledge of nitrosamines regulation is a plus

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $80,000 to $110,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
