What You Will Do

Pratt & Whitney, a division of RTX, is a leader in the manufacturing of military and commercial jet engines. In response to the evolving aerospace industry, Pratt & Whitney is offering comprehensive positions to qualified candidates.
 
Pratt & Whitney’s Production Chief organization is seeking graduating high school seniors to join our team in this exciting and challenging role.  The team actively supports Pratt & Whitney’s manufacturing / machining and assembly operations to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations. In this role the successful candidates will be in a school to work rotational program.  This program will require the employees to be enrolled and pursuing a technical certification while employed with Pratt and Whitney.  The rotation will consist of assignments in our various module centers and assembly operations across CT with a specific focus on the type of technical certification being pursued.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assignments will be in Pratt and Whitney Module Centers: Hot Section, Cold Section, Repair Operations and the Product Delivery Center
  • Support the manufacturing / machining / assembly departments with daily tasks working alongside technical support organizations
  • Develop skills relative to the specific trade / technical certification

Qualifications You Must Have 

  • High School Graduate
  • Working towards a technical / trade certification and ultimate completion within program timeframe
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
