Job Title: Blackstone Real Estate – Principal, Debt Strategies
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead loan and real estate asset underwriting, due diligence, deal structuring and deal execution, including the negotiation of term sheets and financing terms.
- Identify, underwrite, price, structure and close single asset and portfolio loans as part of a team.
- Provide transactional support as required.
- Participate in internal and external client meetings, the negotiation of contracts and other agreements, and due diligence sessions.
- Direct research of targeted transactions for investment purposes.
- Perform valuation analyses of prospective investment opportunities.
- Oversee the work of Associates and Analysts; especially the design and development of financial models.
- Manage the preparation of written analyses and evaluations of investment opportunities.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, or a related field
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in job offered or related occupations.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial real estate loan origination/investment.
- Minimum 5 years of experience underwriting the acquisition of large pools of loans.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing loan workouts.
- Minimum 2 years of experience: in each of the following types of commercial real estate lending: CMBS, debt fund, bank balance sheet, mortgage REIT and insurance capital.Experience can be concurrent.

Expected annual base salary range:
$200,000 - $250,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
