The selected candidate will not only have a critical role working with the stakeholders to capture requirements from the business on insights needed to make decisions but also design and architect comprehensive solutions that align with those requirements while prioritizing exceptional user experiences enabled through modern technology capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and oversee gathering and analyzing of stakeholder requirements and architecting solutions to meet those requirements.
- Lead workshops with key business subject matter experts to turn ideas into tangible solutions through development of minimum viable product requirements (user stories), personas, and wireframes.
- Collaborating with multi-functional stakeholders to determine the best approach to test (POC/pilot) and design solutions that align to business strategy.
- Fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and improvement; advocating continuous team learning of portfolio assets, new technologies, and frameworks for analysis and consideration in new solutions
- Preparing, reviewing, and presenting complex written and verbal materials such as analyses, reports, findings, proposals, and systems training to senior stakeholder
- Prioritizing operational excellence and taking ownership and accountability over on-time and on-budget project outcomes while providing status updates, reporting metrics, and risk mitigations to senior stakeholders
- The desired candidate is passionate about technology and comfortable solving and reframing business problems using a design and consulting mindset. Additionally, they should be detail oriented, possess strong listening, verbal/written communication skills, and able to collaborate and supervise others.
- Guide definition, development and maintenance of data standards, policies, and practices; Guide the design of the data models, in alignment with the solution architecture, to ensure auditability of information assets.
- Work closely with and provide requirement specifications to other Data Architects, Data Engineers, ETL, and BI development team to support optimization of overall design.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in computer science or related field
- Minimum of ten years of information technology experience )OR eight years with a Masters) and at least two years in Data and Analytics domain.
- A minimum of two years of experience in an architect role working with cross-functional teams (within IT and/or within the business) on enterprise-level or complex/novel system implementations.
- Experience in analytical database platforms and query languages (Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, T-SQL, PL/SQL)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a Product Owner in an Agile (Scrum) environment
- Experience with data modeling and related tools (Embarcadero, ERwin, DBArtisan, etc.)
- Experience working with data and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, Cognos, Business Objects)
- Experience in life sciences/bio-tech/pharma
- Domain knowledge in finance, sales operations, manufacturing, and/or supply chain
- Experience working in ERP (e.g., JD Edwards, Coupa, Concur) and/or data warehouse projects (data warehouse, data mart etc..).
- Experience with enterprise data management technologies & platforms, including database platforms, ETL tools, Business Intelligence (BI) Tools, and SQL.
- Experience working specifically in the areas of data management, data governance, data quality management, or as a data steward.
- Versed in agile product delivery methods and related tools (e.g. Jira)
- Experience in a relevant industry experience (e.g., medical device, pharmaceuticals, etc.) or in highly regulated environments.
