We are creating “financial infrastructure that works”, disrupting the financial services industry by offering innovative solutions designed to meet the distinct needs of – and real-world challenges faced on a daily basis by – our customers. Leveraging the power of stablecoins pegged 1:1 to the U.S. dollar (e.g., USDC, USDT, and PYUSD), we deliver our innovative solutions through our commercial trading function, our B2B products (i.e., our Payments API and “widget”), and our retail and small business platform.

We’re looking to hire a Senior Front-end Engineer located within Africa to join our fast-growing, fully remote team. As a Senior Front-end Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping our user interfaces, improving user experiences, and building performant, secure, and reliable front-end systems. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver beautifully crafted and highly functional interfaces. We’re seeking someone with deep expertise in modern frontend technologies and experience working in high-growth, agile environments.

Candidates with experience in FinTech or Crypto products are strongly preferred. We value clear communication, strong ownership, and engineers who are passionate about delivering exceptional user experiences.

Key responsibilities 

Duties include, but are not limited to.

• Work with a group of engineers and cross-functional team members in the implementation of new and existing features
• Provide clear and concise communication and updates regarding feature development statuses to the team and stakeholders
• Adhere to internal coding standards, development processes, and design best practices
• Ensure quality by performing thorough testing and leveraging peer reviews for your work and the work of cross-functional teams

• Write and maintain clean, maintainable, and well-tested code for the future (and present) of the company’s platform
  

Requirements

Core Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Front-end Engineer (Full-stack experience is a plus but not required)
• Expert-level proficiency with Vue.js, Nuxt.js, and Typescript
• Deep understanding of modern JavaScript, component-based architecture, and state management patterns
• Strong experience with modern CSS/SASS, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility
• Proven experience building and optimizing scalable, high-performance, consumer-facing UIs
• Strong experience working with RESTful APIs and integration patterns
• Solid understanding of frontend application security, including XSS, CSRF, content security policies, and secure client-side data handling
• Experience working with AWS, especially in contexts relevant to frontend (CloudFront, S3, Cognito, etc.)
• Experience with testing tools (e.g., Jest, Vue Test Utils, Cypress, or Playwright)
• Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment with strong adherence to agile development practices

Nice-to-Have / Preferred

• Experience in FinTech, Crypto, or other highly regulated environments
• Knowledge of Serverless architectures and how frontend apps interact with them
• Familiarity with performance monitoring and logging tools (e.g., ELK stack, Sentry)
• Experience working with design systems, component libraries, and UI/UX teams
• Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for frontend deployments
