Job Summary:
Business Systems Analyst role (BSA) is an integral part of IT-Biz (Information Technology – Business) Team, working on common strategic business initiatives and transforming them to B2B and B2B4C digital experience using Unified Commerce Application Systems. As a BSA, you will be bridging the gap between business objectives and technical solutions, using your analytical skills, business and systems experience, collaboration with cross-functional and technical teams. You will be responsible for the functional design, delivery and maintenance of strategic capabilities and features of CooperVision Unified Commerce Applications.
Requirements Analysis: Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners to review, understand their needs and objectives (BRD – Business Requirements Document). Participate in scrum ceremonies; consume, contribute and analyze business requirements.
• Functional Design:
o Review Wireframes for proposed User Interface (UI).
o Review and understand Technical Specifications from development team.
o Document business processes, workflows and data models as necessary in Solution Design Document (SDD).
o Translate business requirements into functional specifications (where applicable, such as new integrations, change in integrations), user stories and acceptance criteria, using BRD, Wireframes and Technical Specifications.
o Collaborate with BAs (Business Analysts), fellow BSAs, architects and developers in the iteration of functional and technical decisions and designs.
o Facilitate the integration of B2B, B2B4C applications with other enterprise systems (such as Oracle EBS, BaanERP, CDM, I-MDM, CRM, CLM etc.,). Identify integration points, and data mappings.
o Adhere to CVI SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile DevOps), processes and maintain artifacts in appropriate tools (such as ServiceNow, ADO).
• Testing:
o Define test cases. Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) teams.
o Execute test cases in stage environments to ensure applications meet functional and non-functional requirements.
o Conduct or Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as necessary.
• Change Management: Identify and support change management processes (training, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions) by assessing the impact of proposed changes to applications, coordinating communication with Business Analysts, Product Owners and stakeholders.
• Project Management: Assist in project planning, estimating and scheduling. Work with Project Manager and Scrum Master on assigned tasks and provide regular updates to them on the progress.
• Production Support: Work with regional / local markets, and production support team in identifying the root cause and appropriate fixes, testing and delivering them to live systems.
• Continuous Learning: Continue to learn evolving business processes, best practices and applicable tools. Propose innovative solutions to address business requirements.
Travel Requirements:
Travel Requirements vary by Project; approximately 10% (Domestic / International)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Proven functional knowledge of B2B, B2B2C web applications and customer/consumer transactions.
• Proficiency in requirements gathering / review, process modelling, and SDLC methodologies (Agile, Agile DevOps, Scrum).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate business needs to functional solutions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with a diverse cross-functional teams and communicate functional / technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of ERP (Oracle EBS R12 preferred) and other enterprise systems (like Master Data, CRM, Warehouse Management Systems).
