Sentara is hiring an Outpatient Pharmacist at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital!

Position provides support to all Outpatient Sentara Pharmacies:

Sentara Virginia Beach General, Sentara Princess Anne, Sentara Norfolk General, Sentara Leigh, Sentara Obici (mileage reimbursement for travel provided)

Status: Flexi (minimum 8 hours a week with opportunity for additional hours)

Hours: 845-1915 M-F

Shift: Rotating 8.5 hour shifts

Weekend: Possible Saturdays (Norfolk General)

Holidays: Occasional coverage at Norfolk General (closed Christmas and Thanksgiving)

Required qualifications:

• Required experience must be in a retail setting.

• Will consider pharmacists not licensed in Virginia due to relocation.

• Must have Virginia license within 90 days of Sentara start date

• 1 year Pharmacist experience REQUIRED

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy REQUIRED

Job responsibilities:

• Manages patient drug therapy in accordance with the medical staff approved clinical practice standards
• Maintains current knowledge of drug use through continuing education
• Serves as the primary resource for drug information
• Assures the appropriateness of all physician medication orders
• Precepts pharmacy students as assigned.
