Job Summary

Teach the Business Ownership Accounting course in web format (asynchronous online) using the learning management system (LMS) D2L Bright Space or in person on the Oak Ridge or Harriman Campus.

Job Duties

  • Teach the Business Ownership Accounting course in web format (asynchronous online) using the learning management system (LMS) D2L Bright Space or in person on the Oak Ridge or Harriman Campus. 

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in accounting or a master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in accounting.

If teaching online, the applicant must have at least two years of experience teaching accounting online at the college level using D2L Brightspace.

The applicant must be able to utilize multiple functions within the LMS (audio and video recording) and apply best practices for online teaching.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous teaching experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The applicant must know the tax laws in Tennessee and be highly skilled in using accounting software.

If the preference is to teach on campus, it would be either the Oak Ridge or Harriman campus in Eastern Tennessee.
