Summer Finance-Intern, Store Billing

 

Because this role involves access to confidential financial information, the Company has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and to provide similar protections for its clients and potential investments.

This position is responsible for assisting the Store Billing Department in processing and resolving internal invoices as well as billing adjustments (Ibars) in a timely and accurate manner for all stores. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring costs and quantities are accurate, verifying proof of delivery from DSC/plant, and ensuring the timely processing of shipping discrepancies, returns, carrier claims, and transfers.  Additionally, this position will field calls from stores regarding internal billing and credit (ibars) questions.

 

1. 1. REVIEW AND PROCESS BILLING ADJUSTMENTS 

1.                   a. Verifying proof of delivery from DSC/plant 

1.                   b. Ensure the timely processing of shipping discrepancies, returns, carrier claims, and transfers. 

1.                   c. Ensure costs and quantities on billing transactions are accurate. 

 

1. 2. PERFORM VARIOUS MONTH END RESPONSIBILITIES. 

       a. Prepare account reconciliations. 

 

1. 3. STORE CORRESPONDENT 

1.                     a. Field calls from stores relating to Store Billing processes 

 

1. 4. IDENTIFY AREAS FOR PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS. 

1.               a. Review current processes and offer suggestions to enhance these processes to maximize efficiencies. 

 

Minimum Requirement:

• High School Diploma
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited institution.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Organized and meets deadlines
• Good interpersonal skills
• Effective team player
• Available to work full-time hours during May through August

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree focused in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• College Sophomore status or higher
• 1+ years of accounting or finance experience
