Job Description

As IT Support Engineer for Eurofins Food and Environment Testing UK and Ireland, you will be working with our IT Infrastructure and Solutions Support Teams. You will be responsible for providing on-site Infrastructure support for users at Eurofins Food and Environment Testing sites in Ireland. As well as working on projects to move to our new Infrastructure environment.

Based at our, you will be supporting our sites in Ireland. You will be working as part of a UK and Ireland Team, as well as working with our teams based across Europe to help deliver quality service.

Main Responsibilities:

• Handling support requests for internal business users.
• Provide desk-side and remote support to users, including resolving hardware issues.
• Helping to set-up and maintain on-site networks and servers.
• Provide local support for desktop, server and network infrastructure equipment.
• Provide a high level of internal customer care.
• Monitoring and maintaining Telephone systems and networks.
• Project work, on integrations and improvements to systems.
• Mainly based out of the Cork site, regular travel to Dungarvan, and Dublin will be required. (Cork and Dungarvan are the 2 largest sites).
• Working with the business to understand requirements and problems.
• To be available for emergencies I each site including occasional call outs.

Qualifications

Essential Skills:

• Previous experience in IT Support
• Proficient with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO and RDS including Azure AD
• Experience in Virtualisation
• Strong Microsoft products background knowledge.
• Familiar with remote application support ie, Citrix, RSA Tokens and SSL VPN
• Networking support of switches/routers and firewalls (knowledge and troubleshooting skills (LAN, WAN, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS))
• Have working knowledge of Microsoft technology at administrator level, including Windows Server, Hyper-V, System Center, Active Directory and Office 365.
• Be familiar with ticket logging and remote management and monitoring processes
• Good problem solving ability
• A passion for technology
• Good communication skills
• Full Irish Driving Licence.

Beneficial Skills:

• Experience in cloud technologies (Azure/AWS)
• Working in strong governance driven industries and experience of ISO 27001
