Associate Director, RWD Insights (Government)

How you will helpAs an Associate Director, Real World Data Insights, Government at HealthVerity, you will provide exceptional healthcare data expertise throughout the contract lifecycle. You will execute training and development programs to enable data users to leverage the largest healthcare data ecosystem in the US. Our team will rely on you for your ability to translate real world data (RWD) analytics and evidence experience into addressing the healthcare research questions asked by government agencies. Your dedication to helping clients extract value out of real world data assets will drive growth in utilization and engagement by researchers and data scientists. What you will do• Design and develop training and development program curriculum • Educate clients by hosting educational training sessions to impart your expertise and recommendations on the effective use of healthcare data• Prepare and deliver study specific presentations, data feasibility assessments and proposals in the pre-sales phase• Collaborate and consult with internal stakeholders and provide expertise on data assets that will support client’s research questions• Leverage medical and pharmacy claims, EMR, lab, chargemaster, SDOH, and other emerging data assets to address your clients research questions• Co-lead discovery conversations with clients and provide consultative expertise related to real-world data strategy, study design, cohort select and other project specific needs• Develop internal project specification and supporting materials, including market definitions, business rules and requirements documents• Mine HealthVerity's vast data assets, using SQL or Python, in search of unique insights
How success will be defined• Successfully plans and executes a client-facing training program for a large federal government agency.• Manages a routine cadence of office hours or use case support session in support of data users at a large government agency• Contributes to achieving a client satisfaction score at or above the previous contract year • Creates and disseminates training materials and documentation that can be leveraged by teammates and peers
Required skills and experience• Masters degree in public health, epidemiology, statistics, math, health economics, or similar• 2+ years experience in a client-facing role with experience working collaboratively with Project Management, Client Management, Data Analytics, Consulting, or Sales teams, with preference for supporting customers in the government and/or life sciences industries• 1+ year experience planning and executing training and development programs against a long-term roadmap, preferably within the scope of a large government contract• Proficient in programming with experience in SQL or Python and experience coaching others in the use of standard code/scripts for healthcare use cases leveraging big data• Healthcare data subject matter expert across various data types (e.g. claims, EMR, labs, patient-reported outcomes, etc) and healthcare data coding standards (e.g. ICD, CPT, HCPCS, CVX, LOINC, NUCC taxonomy, etc)• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify and mitigate risk to a project or program outcome• A commitment to personal and professional continuous learning, who can evangelize and champion the use of RWE in generating real-world evidence (RWE).
Desired skills and experience• 2+ years experience designing and executing customer-facing training for teams in RWD, HEOR, and/or real world evidence generation• 1+ year of experience supporting federal government health projects at HHS or one of many HHS operating divisions (e.g. FDA, CMS, ONC, AHRQ, NIH, VA)• Passion for solving client challenges by leveraging the largest data ecosystem in the US• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to translate client needs into actionable data solutions and training programs• Experienced in identifying and communicating data solutions to meet client needs across life sciences, government, media and payer• Experienced in applying real-world data to specific healthcare and life-science related research questions and use cases in a variety of therapeutic areas• Highly organized, consultative, and proactive critical thinking• Thrives in a rapidly changing, fast paced environment• Ability to travel up to 10%
Base salary for the role is commensurate with experience and can range between $90,000 - 160,000 + annual bonus opportunity.
