As a key member of our team, you will be focused on building and expanding our fraud platform.

We are seeking a passionate and innovative technical leader with experience in building 0 to 1 products for users. This is an excellent opportunity to  collaborate with peer developers, product managers, designers, architects and data scientists to define and develop low-friction, high-precision fraud detection & mitigation systems that protect our customers and vendors.

We’d love to chat if you have:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 12  years of relevant experience in software engineering, including building enterprise platforms.
• Leading the discovery phase of projects to produce high level design by partnering with the product management, project management, and business and user experience teams.
• Exceptional problem solving, critical thinking, communication skills, and a bias towards action
• Proven experience in leading the design and implementation of scalable SaaS applications in Java. Experience with AWS or equivalent services is preferred. 
• Expertise in building and maintaining large-scale, high-volume, high-availability, low-latency systems.
• Experience mentoring other engineers in a technical capacity through sharing your learnings and providing feedback that will help the team grow.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across teams and departments.
• Strong understanding of security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in the payment industry or in developing fraud detection applications.
• Proficiency in version control, code reviews, testing, and deployment automation.
• Ability to mentor and guide other engineers in best practices and advanced technical concepts.

Nice to Have: Familiarity with machine learning model integration and data pipeline design.Experience in front-end or full-stack development.

The estimated salary  range for this role is noted below for our San Jose based role.  Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.

San Jose pay range$188,700—$235,900 USD
