Shriners Children’s Boston is a pediatric specialty hospital, research and teaching center. It is the only burn center verified by the American Burn Association in New England and New York that’s just for kids. Job Overview
Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for an part-time, 24 hours per week, Administrative Assistant to join our Research team in Boston, MA.
Responsibilities
We are seeking highly motivated candidates to join our Research Administrative Team at Shriners Children’s Boston. The successful candidate will partake in our research operations by supporting key administrative functions. Major responsibilities will include
- maintaining and monitoring the staff credential process,
- purchasing lab supplies and services,
- preparation of paperwork for contracts,
- monitoring monthly budget variance reports, working closely with Fiscal Services,
- assisting in grant applications,
- monitoring daily operations of lab safety/managing research equipment among others.
Qualifications
Preferred
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- 3 years administrative experience required, preferable in Research.
- Credentialing and grant proposal experience strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational, time management, customer serviced skills preferred.
- Intermediate level of experience in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
