2nd Shift Stacker

Summary/Objective
The stacker is responsible for safely achieving production demands and quality requirements within a defined time-frame, from preparation of packaging materials to loading finished product onto pallets, while remaining compliant with hygiene, HACCP and work safety guideline. The stacker is also responsible for maintaining production needs by assisting the operator and assistant operator as needed.
Essential Functions

- Prepares packaging material ( boxes, bags, drums, totes) for the purpose of filling.
- Places labels , as required per PI sheet, on filled product bags, boxes, drums, and totes.
- Stack finished product onto pallets per stack pattern provided by operator.
- Assist operator with CIP/SIP procedures.
- Implements the internal and legal specifications and guidelines concerning hygiene, HACCP, food and work safety and environmental protection.
- Informs Supervisor and Manager on issues or immediate needs that may impact the department.
- Adheres to GMPs within appropriate zones.
- Performs general sanitation duties.
- Maintains clean, neat and orderly work area.
- Assists in other areas of production as needed.
- Interacts with and follows instructions provided on PI sheet.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is occasionally exposed to wet, warm, humid and cold temperatures.

The employee is frequently required to sit; occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days can vary depending on production schedule.

Required Qualifications
1. High school diploma
2. 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing / production environment
3. Must be proficient in the use of equipment such as flow meters, scales, steam lines, chart recorders, agitators, pumps, valves, and batch tanks
4. Must be able to read and understand PI sheets
5. Must be able to read and follow a production schedule
6. Must have mechanical experience
Preferred Qualifications
1. SAP experience
2. Working knowledge of food & beverage production or related processes
3. Ability to read and understand PI sheets (inspection sheets)
