Keytronic Oakdale, MN facility is seeking a Maintenance Support Technician to perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process. Dismantles, adjusts repairs, and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings. Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts. Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required. Perform equipment modifications as directed by manufacturing or process engineers.

- Use Scheduled Maintenance System to track and report on scheduled machine maintenance
- Use system for maintaining an inventory of repair parts, wear items, and machine parts to stock in order to ensure minimal downtime during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance or repair.
- Provide regular reports and updates on maintenance and repair activities to Sr. Support Engineer.
- Participate in installation of newly acquired equipment.
- Participate in maintenance and repair activities, both scheduled and unscheduled.
- Review existing maintenance procedures for needed improvements and suggest. improvements or new procedures where needed.
- Provide startup machine and process support to equipment operators as needed at beginning of shifts.
SUPERVISION GIVEN/RECEIVED
Is supervised by Engineering Manager and Sr. Support Engineer and has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, talk, hear, and see. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or reach with hands and arms. The environment is fast-paced, time pressured, and requires accuracy. The employee will regularly multi-task between projects, be required to move throughout the office building and production floor. Effectively communicate orally and written.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
