This position has a starting base rate pay of $19.85 per hour, and an additional $1.00 per hour shift differential for 2nd shift position placement.

Job Description: 

• Responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product through the production process and ensuring proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line. 

• Monitor and adjust machine settings as needed and notifying supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. 

• Learn new EIM System and use hand held scanners, as well as any other duties assigned. 

• Wear the appropriate (PPE) personal protective equipment which includes steel toed shoes, bump cap and hearing protection.  

• Team members are encouraged to dress appropriately before they arrive at their workstation. 

 

Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. 

• Must be willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs. necessary when dumping bags of spice.  

• Must be willing and able to push/pull of 80 lb. film in cart to machine.  

• The Team Member will use torso flexion of 0-45 degrees is noted while handling spice. 

• The Team Member will use full bilateral extension of arms necessary. 

• The Team Member will use bilateral full hand grasp is used when performing checks for code dates. 

• The Team Member will stand at all times in all work stations. 

• The Team Member will use simultaneous use of both hands is required when performing this job.   

• The Team Member will work in areas that could range between 38 and 50 degrees temperatures and at times conditions could be wet.  

 

Qualifications:   

• Must have 3 months work history with the same employer within the last year. 

 

Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
