Job Overview
Responsibilities include assisting with product completion by adjusting and assembling materials. This is a labor-intensive position that requires careful attention to detail.
A Day In The Life
Includes but is not limited to the following:
- Follow Company safety and break policies, work in a safe manner, follow directions, and wear company issued Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Immediately report any unsafe activity or accident to the area Supervisor.
- Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, manufacturing drawings, bills of material or other written instructions or procedures.
- Perform heavy manual labor required to manipulate and adjust materials.
- Responsible for the quality of the assemblies produced. Perform first piece inspection and subsequent inspections to ensure overall quality
- Maintain inventory of product in workstations
- Operate functional area equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Maintain safety, quality, productivity and keeping the work area neat and clean
- Report any safety problems, hazards, accidents and near misses to management
- Other duties as assigned
What will help you thrive in this role?
- Must wear safety equipment, i.e. safety glasses, work boots, protective gloves, and ear plugs where necessary
- Able to lift up to 35 pounds – Maximum lifting policy is 35 pounds
- Ability to work in a team environment or individually to conduct product completion
- Ability to stand, sit, stoop or bend, reach above shoulders up to 25% of time
- Ability to use basic hand tools, i.e. wrenches, gages, bolts
