Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to ensure that adequate resources and capability (people and processes) reside within the business equipped to develop and deliver sales (current customers and new prospects) across the allocated (multi-country) region in line with business strategy and the overall segment’s profitability related targets. Ensures execution of the agreed sales plan, selected cost from the P&L and profitability related to targets established by the BU within the sales region by managing the subordinated field force and organizing a high-quality sales support infrastructure required in the execution of sales processes.
Job Responsibilities
- Works closely with marketing to analyze present and future market trends and customer feedback for market segmentation and planning to aim for further market penetration.
- Develops and executes sales strategies in the marketplace securing achievement of expected top line and bottom-line result for the segment in the allocated region.
- Plans, monitors and reports on execution of major sales activities conducted with regard to indirect and direct sales channel.
- Identifies significant business opportunities, pinpoints existing and/or potential problem areas and assists field force where appropriate.
- Provides feedback to understand how customers are utilizing our products and how well those products align versus competitive products, primarily focusing on accounts within the responsible segment.
- Takes brand promotional plans and deploys into accounts within the responsible segment.
- Set’s customer prices, carries out negotiations with accounts in accordance with the segment strategy. Monitors and feeds back competitive pricing to marketing and has responsibility for implementation.
- Inputs demand forecast for regional segment sales plans. Feeds demand forecast to operations for tactical use and marketing for strategic (product planning) use.
- Develops, executes and monitors key performance indicators for regional sales team
- Travels frequently respective to spend a certain part of his/her time by visiting major customers and stakeholders in the market.
- Regularly calls on major direct and indirect customers to maintain close contact with the market.
- Supports Regional Key Account Management with KAM initiatives, roll-out process in the market and when dealing with major accounts.
- Delivers input to the supporting functions (including, marketing,operations and finance) in order to achieve consistency and professionalism in approach to the marketplace.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in business management or related field, required.
- Masters of Business Administration in related field, preferred.
- Paints and coatings industry, any B2B industry environment.
- 7-10 years of work experience in commercial leadership roles, sales and key account management
- 5 years experience in coating industries, preferred.
- Strong and effective communications skills; Writing, IT presentations, public speaking and one to one negotiations
- Strong interpersonal skills - communicate effectively with all customer levels (business owners, purchasing personnel, engineering, product users, and internally at all levels).
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to travel over 40% of time and work a flexible work schedule including nights and weekends
- Must be able to fly on commercial aircraft to customer locations
- Must be able to participate and complete a qualitative and quantitative respirator fit test, and use respirator as required.
Compensation Data
The salary range for these skills is: $150,000.00 - $167,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
