Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Directs and controls the daily operations to ensure the school is running per GSS standard operating
procedures.
2. Manages the staff of GSS to ensure high productivity, excellent performance and positive employee
satisfaction.
3. Trains and oversees the aquatics department to provide superior swim instruction to the students of GSS.
4. Interacts with the Deck Supervisors on issues related to class scheduling, student progress, customer service
and employee performance and training.
5. Provides sales and marketing training to all qualified sales staff.
6. Provides direction in the retail and vending departments to ensure a proper mix of products and pricing is
achieved.
7. Trains and oversees private party staff to ensure that the GSS standard operating procedures are being
maintained.
8. Gains knowledge and experience og scheduling software to achieve a high level of competence in bookings,
class scheduling, reporting and administrative functions.
9. Gains a high level of knowledge and experience in the GSS pool operations necessary to maintain a safe and
sanitary swim environment.
10. Initiates and oversees workplace employee activities (“Fun” Department) with the goal of achieving improved
employee satisfaction.
11. Directs and oversees the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and all safety procedures that
pertain to the GSS facility. Trains all current staff on the GSS EAP.
12. Maintains current certifications and stays up-to-date professionally on the aquatics and management field.
13. Schedules staff and manages payroll.
14. Fulfills other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Employer.
Safety Standards: The safety of our swimmers, parents and team members is of the utmost importance. Goldfish Swim
School follows all CDC and W HO safety standards along with following any local guidelines. In addition here are some
additional safety precautions and procedures we follow:
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications or equivalent is
desired. Experience as youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor or aquatics instructor/supervisor is preferred.
Three to five years management experience is preferred.
Certificates and Licenses:
Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, AED and Certified Pool Operator certifications required. Lifeguard Instructor certification is
highly encouraged.
W ork Environment:
W hile performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderateEach Goldfish Swim School is an independently owned and operated franchise. The respective Franchisee is the employer at each Goldfish Swim School location. Each franchisee can set their own wages, benefit programs and terms and conditions of employment, which may vary at each Goldfish Swim School location.
Compensation: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

- Every shift has an on-staff cleaner to sanitize high touch areas in our lobby and pool areas.
- Our pools are disinfected with chlorine to provide the safest swimming environment
- The CDC states that proper operation, maintenance and disinfection of the water with chlorine should
- Our state-of-the-art ventilation system allows fresh air to continuously circulate into our building, further
- Industry experts note that indoor pools are far superior at minimizing virus transmission than most
