What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, service calls, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with supervisors and/or local public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, administrative buildings, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, public areas, and restricted locations to help to deter unauthorized entry, support orderly operations, and provide directions or assistance to the public.
• Support crowd management, special events, and daily transit operations by observing activity, reporting hazards or maintenance concerns, and following post orders and emergency procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
