The Team

Interns at Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines & Horizon Air join teams throughout different departments and work on visible projects that impact our guests and business. Beyond hands-on experience, interns also get the opportunity to network with fellow employees and company leaders through various intern events and programming. This internship is for summer 2026. Our internships are full-time for 12 weeks, and we offer two program timelines to align with different academic calendars.

 

This internship will be located in Anchorage, AK. If not already in the internship city, candidates will be required to relocate for the duration of the internship.

Key Duties

• Analyze and interpret data that affects operational performance including baggage, safety, compliance, timeline metrics, and on time performance.
• Root cause analysis to identify trends impacting station operations.
• Assist with the execution of operational plans supporting station goals and company objectives.
• Work with multiple stakeholders to implement improvement processes.
• Support station leadership in employee engagement objectives.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

Required

• Working toward a bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Professional Aviation, or related field.
• Critical thinking to analyze trends and compile innovative solutions.
• Ability to successfully communicate with a workgroup and with other internal departments and teams.
• High regard for safety.
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship.
• Must have achieved a junior or higher academic standing at the time of application.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

• Tableau or other data analysis platform knowledge.

USD $25.00/Hr.

Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines and Horizon Air pay and benefits can vary by company, location, number of regularly scheduled hours worked, length of employment, and employment status.
