Description
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Mechanical Field Service Technicians for projects located in and around Chesapeake, VA. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate of up to $25/hour based on experience & skill level. Job Scope:
- Service paper mills, power plants, water treatment plants, etc.
- Removal & re-installation of equipment serviced in shop; electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, etc.
- Utilize basic rigging skills to safely move equipment on and off foundations and transportation means
- Precision alignment of rotating equipment
- Use dial indicator & laser alignment equipment
- Perform mechanical diagnostics on operational equipment utilizing vibration analysis with along with physical inspection and visual examination
- Work on existing equipment in customer facilities; perform in place repairs and field maintenance
- Interface with end users/customers to assist in determining the cause of mechanical failures and to help produce proactive solutions to mechanical failures
- Other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- 2+ Years working in a Mechanical Environment
- Must be familiar with an industrial Safety Environment
- Knowledge of Rigging Practices
- High Mechanical Aptitude
- Clean driving record
- Must pass background check & drug screen
- Must be willing to work on call needed
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
