Electrician Trainee, Berkshire Medical Center, Shift: Days, varies

Job Summary

Under the direction of a preceptor, support and perform construction, installation, renovation, maintenance, inspection, and repair duties related to electrical system or electrical equipment throughout the Medical Center. Work from plans, specifications, blueprints, sketches, diagrams and verbal instructions as given by supervisor, utilizing active working knowledge of all Local, State, Federal, and other applicable codes.

Experience

• Enrolled in a vocational education program at a technical school.

Education

• In process of completing high school, GED or trade school.

Additional Requirements

• Demonstrate ability to use computer for PM system work orders' documentation and a basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Demonstrated ability to use communication devices, i.e., smartphones, telephones, radios and computer devices; responds within an appropriate time period. Ability to read building MEP and Life Safety/ Fire Alarm drawings.
